I am a warm, non-judgemental counsellor and I provide a confidential space to help you explore your feelings. I offer a safe and supportive relationship for you to heal and to live your life in a more resourceful way.

My Approach

I am trained as an Integrative Counsellor. I work with different therapeutic approaches, including Person Centred, (Humanistic), Psychodynamic and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). I also do brief solution work. This flexible approach allows me to work with individuals with their own unique needs. I understand that people come to counselling for a variety of reasons. The way I work supports you by giving you a trusting space where you can freely express yourself.

My Qualifications and Experience

I am an Accredited and Registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

I am also a Graduate Member of the British Psychological Society (GMBPsS).

I am an Accredited CRUSE Bereavement Counsellor.

I have a BSc (Hons) in Psychology. I have a Diploma in Integrative Counselling, a Certificate in Counselling Skills and Practice and a Certificate in Bereavement Counselling.

I have training in Mindfulness-based CBT and I undertake regular CPD, (Continuing Professional Development) and Supervision. I also abide by the code of ethics of the professional bodies I belong to.

I have 20 years of experience of seeing clients in a variety of settings, including NHS GP surgeries and a Community Mental Health Team in South East London. I have also worked as a Counsellor in a Further Education College and as a Lecturer and Course leader on Counselling Certificate and Introduction courses. I have experience of working in Employee Assisted Programmes within organisations and in the voluntary sector as a Bereavement Counsellor. As well as this, I have taught on Psychology courses.

I work with a range of issues including, abuse, loss, self-esteem, identity, health related issues, work-related issues, infertility, stress, anxiety, depression, loneliness, chronic fatigue syndrome/ME, sexuality and pet loss.

Fees

I provide face-to-face, telephone and online counselling for adults for short and long term work.

My fees are £65 for a 50 minute session.

Cancellation

I ask for 24 hours-notice of cancellation, or I charge a fee of £25.
